The mission of the family of Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church, is
to proclaim God's Word, administer the sacraments, proclaim God's love and to reach out to
everyone in our community.

STATEMENT OF CORE VALUES
1. We value the Great Commission of our Lord to "seek and save the lost".
2. We value the faithfulness and commitment of God, to ourselves, and to all members of
God's creation.
3. We value the truth and purity of God's holy Word and the adaptability given through the
Holy Spirit to present that undeniable truth in diverse ways.
4. We value the gift of forgiveness given us through our belief in Jesus Christ as our
Savior.
5. We value our Lutheran foundation, the fulfillment of the Law and the proclamation of
the Gospel
6. We value the blessing of prayer in our lives as it benefits us and others in our
